Faraday Museum
Visit our Faraday Museum and discover over 200 years of history-making science from the Ri. Entry is free.
Ri Cafe
We're delighted that the Ri Cafe is open again, for hot drinks, snacks, and meals, from Monday to Thursday, 9.00 to 15.00.
Christmas and January 2024/25 closure
Please note that the Ri will be closed to visiting members of the public from Tuesday 24 December to Thursday 16 January inclusive.
During that time we'll be enjoying a well-deserved Christmas break (and watching the CHRISTMAS LECTURES on BBC Four) and, when we return in January, carrying out some important maintenance and improvement works as we care for and preserve our wonderful building. We'll be back with a bang on Friday 17 January for our first Theatre event of 2025, a behind the scenes look at the best Ri demos of 2024. Don't miss it!
