The Ri invites you to our 2024 autumn season, where we bring you exciting topics from science and culture. As the leading hub for groundbreaking advances in modern science, you don’t want to miss the exciting new programmes we have in store!
We bring you the opportunity to hear from some leading-edge scientists like Sir David Clary, a former chief scientific advisor to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, BBC Sky at Night’s Dame Margaret Aderin-Pocock, and NASA’s very own Mark Clampin. - Designing the James Webb Space Telescope: Mark Clampin provides a first-hand insight into the design of the James Webb Space Telescope.
- The art of stargazing: Immerse yourself in the incredible world of stars with award-winning space scientist Maggie Aderin-Pocock!
- An introduction to quantum theory (short course): James Millen returns to present a six-part introduction to the world of quantum theory.
- The lost scientists of WW2: Sir David Clary sheds light on the lives of scientists who vanished during World War II.
