Ri Patrons Present
Ri Patrons are valuable members of the Ri community who are dedicated to supporting our charitable mission. We are pleased to announce a new event series. Open to Ri Members and the public and free to Ri Patrons, these events explore science and society with the same excellence in science communication you've come to expect from all Ri events.

Running from 1 September until the end of December, we have an amazing range of events that you won't want to miss.
Join us as we discuss DNA home testing kits, explore Einstein's time in rural England and discover if we'll ever make contact with extraterrestrials.
We have two events in partnership with the National Maritime Museum, 'Stranger tides' and 'Unspoilt world?'. We continue our events with The Faraday Institution and The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Discourses
The Summer season of Discourses will start on 27 September with Tom Scott exploring how 'There is no algorithm for truth'.
On 25 October, Nobel Prize winner Sir Paul Nurse will discuss 'What is life?'.
The Discourse Autumn season ends on 28 November with Lord David Willetts discussing whether 'Boomers have pinched their children's future'.
Family
This season's Family Fun Day is on 26 October and it's all about chaos, contagions and cures for catastrophe.
We also have How to be a science wizard, an evening with Konnie Huq, Maths on the back of an envelope, Andrew Syzdlo with some metal mayhem, For your inspiration: the elements of success, That's non-sense! and Dr Karl is back with his Christmas crackers.
Themed events
We'll explore how we can save our planet from the climate crisis, discuss if we're really in control when it comes to technological advances and discover the different between nature and personal choice.
