Gifts in Wills

Leave a gift in your Will to secure the future of the Ri for generations to come.

Your gift will make a difference

If the Ri has a special place in your heart, leaving a gift in your Will can help to ensure that we have a financially sustainable future.

Every gift helps us inspire future generations to see the possibility of a future with science. Together, we can continue to bring the theatre of science to the public and empower children and adults to embrace opportunities with science.

Legacy gifts to charity are exempt from Inheritance Tax in the UK, and the government provides a further incentive when you leave 10% or more of your net estate to charity

It’s really simple – all your solicitor will need to include the Ri in your will is our address and charity number:

The Royal Institution of Great Britain, 21 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4BS

Charity Number: 227938 (England and Wales)

If you do not already have a will, or would like to create one, please use our free will service. By leaving a gift to the Ri, you can help ensure that we spread the magic of science to young people long into the future.

If you would like more information about leaving a gift in your will, we’d welcome the opportunity to talk to you confidentially. Please email mbrady@ri.ac.uk.

In addition to legacy gifts, we’re always touched when chosen as the beneficiary of gifts given in memory. If we can help with the collection of the donations in any way, please get in touch.
