Family Programmes Manager

An exciting opportunity to lead our family events programme to empower young people to explore and get involved in science and to engage a wide range of diverse audiences

Reports to: Head of Public and Family Programmes
Location: Albemarle St, London with opportunity for some remote working
Contract type: Permanent, Part- Full-time,  35 hours per week including evening and weekend work - requests for flexible and part-time patterns will be considered
Salary: c.£36k per annum

About the Role

We are now looking for a Family Programmes Manager to coordinate the planning, developing and delivery of original, engaging and entertaining content for children, families and young adult audiences as part of our year-round events programme to empower young people to explore and get involved in science. 

About you

Are you enthusiastic about inspiring awe and wonder about science via live events for families and young people? 

Do you have;

  • Experience in science communication and of increasing creative opportunities for new and diverse audiences
  • Experience of the planning and delivery of live events, ideally for family audiences
  • An interest in science and an understanding of how it affects the world around us
  • Fantastic communication skills and a confident, engaging approach to public speaking and ability to engage with a variety of audiences
  • Ability to analyse data and produce reports
  • Excellent client relationship management skills to develop a wide network of contacts to devise and deliver events?

Experience of coordinating social media campaigns around event promotion and live coverage, working with Risk Assessments and using CRM and/or ticketing systems would be an advantage.
