The Royal Institution (Ri) and L’Oréal UK and Ireland have been working together for over 16 years to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to think more deeply about the wonders and applications of science.
A highlight of this partnership is the L’Oréal Young Scientist Centre at the Ri which gives tens of thousands of young people each year the opportunity to conduct investigation-led experiments and think critically about science.
Building on this spirit of investigation, L’Oréal and the Ri are conducting a mass participation experiment over four days at New Scientist Live.
Over the four days, we want to find out who has the aptitude and skills needed for the pursuit of science and investigate the public’s perception of science as a career. For this experiment to be successful, we need as many attendees as possible to visit our stand and take part in the quick and simple test. Participants are in with a chance to see their name appear on the New Scientist leader board and win prizes.
As well as this experiment, you can also:
- Learn more about the Royal Institution’s national education programmes, explore our exciting calendar of talks held in the most famous science lecture theatre in the world, and find out how to become part of history by joining our vibrant membership community
- Learn about employment opportunities at L’Oréal. The company has nearly 4000 scientists working around the world. One part creativity, one part science, teams innovate to define the future of beauty for their consumers. L’Oréal’s research and innovation teams constitute a multicultural community that includes a large number of disciplines in every branch of science.
